LOCAL BUSINESS OWNER, GREGORY LIEBIG EARNS UDC CREDENTIALS
SHEBOYGAN, WI, June 11, 2008: 4-Square Home Inspections, LLC announces that Gregory Liebig earns the Credentials as a licensed One and Two Family Dwelling Construction Inspector.The Uniform Dwelling Code (UDC) is the statewide building code for one- and two-family dwellings built since June 1, 1980. The UDC is a uniform statewide code that sets minimum standards for fire safety; structural strength; energy conservation; erosion control; heating, plumbing and electrical systems; and general health and safety in new dwellings.

There is enforcement of the UDC in all Wisconsin municipalities. The following are not covered by the UDC:

Dwellings built before June 1, 1980 or additions and alterations to such dwellings.

Mobile (manufactured) homes which are instead subject to Federal standards.

Multi-unit (three or more) residential buildings which are regulated by the State Commercial Building Codes

Detached garages or accessory buildings.
A Home Inspection as defined in the Wisconsin Standards of Practice is NOT a code inspection. Most homes in our area would not be covered by the UDC simply because of the age of the home.
